Boilerman training in Malaysia is generally organised into two levels — Grade 2 and Grade 1. Both are important, but they suit different operators and different types of boiler. Understanding the difference helps you choose the right training for your team.
Grade 2 training is the entry level. It is designed for new and developing operators and covers steam boiler fundamentals, safe start-up and shut-down, routine monitoring and workplace safety. It builds the essential base for a boiler operator role.
Grade 1 training is for experienced operators progressing to larger, higher-pressure and higher-capacity steam boilers. It focuses on advanced operation, monitoring, control and supervisory safety responsibility.
